Nu goth became visible through 2010s social media: minimalist black streetwear, occult and celestial jewelry, oversized silhouettes, sheer layers, wide-brim hats. It borrows from goth, witchy fashion, and internet-era alternative style.

Cleaner lines replace a lot of classic ornament. An oversized graphic tee or hoodie, fitted black bottoms or a long skirt, and one structured or sheer layer is a typical base. The vibe is contemporary, not a recreation of 1983.
