Period Goth, Mourning Dress Goth
Victorian Goth: Goth Style Guide

Victorian goth is a modern take on nineteenth-century mourning dress and formal tailoring: high collars, lace, velvet, long silhouettes, cameos. It is historically inspired, not a preserved Victorian tradition.
One strong period element, such as a waistcoat, lace blouse, floor-length skirt, or long coat, mixed with modern basics usually reads better than a full costume. Deep blacks, burgundy, and purple do most of the palette.
Romantic dressing is still a personal language. DarkHeart helps you find people who care about the literature and the nights, not just the photos.
